1 ) Drag a “Genesis – Featured Posts” widget to the “Featured Posts” widget area and configure the settings just like the demo below. If the thumbnails of the blog posts are being cropped into different size, please install plugin – Force Regenerate Thumbnails and run the plugin once.

2 ) You could select which category should be displayed, you could set the number of posts or even select a different image size.
