* If you purchased our installation service, the gallery page should be installed to your website already. Please skip to the next step “To add new item to the gallery”.
1 ) Create a new page > on the right hand side, you will see a “Page Attributes” panel > Select “Portfolio” from the template drop down menu then save the page. If you’d like to have the image banner on the top of the page, please have the featured image set for this page.
2 ) Go to the “Appearance” > “Widgets” > Drag three “Image Widget” to the “Portfolio Category Page” widget area and configure the settings just like the demo below.
3 ) You could add as many image widget you want to this widget area.
If the image size is not the size you choose, install plugin – Regenerate Thumbnails. Go to tools > regen. thumbnails > click the “Regenerate” button.
Where to find the category url for the box buttons?
Go to the “Portfolio Categories” page, click “view” under the categories title. It will takes you to that category archive page, copy the url and paste it in the URL box of the “Image Widget” > click the “Save” button.
To add new item to the gallery:
1 ) Go to Portfolio > Add New Item > Click the “Add Media” button > Upload your photos to the content field and have the featured image set.
* If you’d like to display it as a slider, we recommend plugin – Meta Slider. Once you have the slider created, you just need to paste the shortcode to the page.
2 ) You could have it categorized by adding category from the “Portfolio Categories” panel.
* The links of the gallery isn’t working properly.
If the link of the portfolio isn’t working and directed you to an error page, please go to Settings > Permalink > Select “Post Name” and hit the “Save Changes” button.
Add portfolio categories to navigation menu.
1 ) Go to “Appearance” > “Menus” > Expand the “Portfolio Categories” panel > check the box next to the category you’d like to add to the menu then click “Save menu” button.
There’s no portfolio categories panel?
1 ) Click the “Screen option” button which is at the very top of the page.
2 ) Check the box next to the “Portfolio Categories”.
3 ) You should now see the panel.
