To have that 3 featured posts

1 ) Drag a “Genesis Featured Posts” widget to the “Home Slider” widget area.

2 ) Configure the widget settings like the demo below.

3 ) If you wish to have the categories display under the posts, insert in the “Show Post Info” field.
