1 ) Go to the “Widgets” page > drag a “Genesis Featured Posts” widget to the “On the blog” widget area.
2 ) Configure the settings of the widget just like the demo below.
3 ) To change the background image of this area, please go to Appearance > Customize > Full-width widgets > Full-width widgets 3 background image.
